Equality For All/Equal Access
All citizens deserve to be treated equally regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, immigrant status, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. The ACLU of Mississippi is working to extend equality to all Mississippians by:
- Promoting policies and practices that ensure equal treatment and protection regardless of sexual orientation or gender identification.
- Investigating, documenting, and challenging immigration policies and practices that are discriminatory and unfair.
- Challenging policies that exclude or discriminate against persons with disabilities.
- Ensuring protection and rights of individuals who, because of their race or ethnicity, are disproportionately treated unfair.
