The Mississippi Joint Legislative Redistricting and Reapportionment Committee is holding eight public hearings across the state to hear from Mississippi residents about legislative redistricting.
These hearings are an opportunity to make your voice heard. Attend a hearing in your community and tell lawmakers what fair representation means to you.

Your Voice Matters
Redistricting determines the boundaries of the districts that elect our state lawmakers. Those boundaries can shape political representation and the power communities have in the Legislature.
Mississippi's current legislative maps are legal, and there is no legal requirement that the state redraw them right now. As lawmakers consider whether to change those maps, Mississippians deserve to know why changes are being proposed and to have a meaningful opportunity to participate in the process.
