Your Vote Matters! is continuing a statewide mission to get Mississippians who are eligible to vote absentee before November 3rd. This is a free opportunity for voters 65+ years old to vote early, as well as voters will pre-existing conditions who may be at risk to avoid waiting in lines on Election Day. Your Vote Matters! will also be at local courthouses to notarize ballots for free.

This is year, two statewide ballot measures offer voters a chance to make Mississippi fairer and more inclusive for years to come. Voting “yes” to Ballot Measure 2 and Ballot Measure 3 are votes to end two Jim Crow era structures that have long held Mississippi back. The election is not on November 3rd. The election has already begun. We want to ensure that every vote is counted.

WHAT:
Your Vote Matters! will provide voters with free transportation to circuit clerk offices in counties across the state, and notarize ballots for free to encourage absentee voting.


WHO:
Your Vote Matters! is a collective of non-profit organizations including ACLU of Mississippi, APRI, Black Voters Matter, Mississippi AFL-CIO, Mississippi Black Women’s Roundtable, Mississippi Center for Justice, Mississippi Families for Kids, Mississippi Health Advocacy Program, Mississippi Human Services Coalition, Mississippi Low-Income Child Care Initiative, Mississippi Votes, Children's Defense Fund, Mississippi NAACP, One Voice Mississippi, National Association of Social Workers, Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates, ROC Action, Southern Echo, Inc., Southern Poverty Law Center, Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative, and Veterans of the Civil Rights Movement.
