The work of the ACLU of Mississippi is dependent on volunteers to help us make Mississippi a just and equitable state for all. We have several legislative proposals that we’re advocating for as well as strategic initiatives that will make societal impacts for a better Mississippi.
Join us as we advocate for:
- Statewide uniformed body camera policy.
- Equitable opportunities for all Mississippi educators.
- Housing and state employee protections for the LGBT community.
- Early voting & online voter registration.
Access to voting is so important and is the very definition of citizenship because that’s how self-governing democracies are supposed to work. Yet, we've seen a decline in voting in state and local elections over the years.
Join us for an open house at our office on Friday, December 15th at 5:30pm.
Learn about our work, meet our staff and board, and get involved! This event is free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be served!
