Erica Mannery–Barker is a native Jacksonian. She earned her B.S.M. (Management) and M.B.A. degrees from Belhaven University. She has worked for law firms in Jackson (Law Office of Darla Palmer), Ridgeland (Butler, Snow, PLLC and The Wade Law Firm, PLLC) and Dallas, Texas (SettlePou, P.C.) as a legal assistant, paralegal, office manager, and client services manager throughout her professional career spanning over 25 years.
She is a military wife and mother to three children: a daughter who recently graduted UMMC with her master's degree in biomedical science and twins set to enter 7th grade at Northwest I.B. Middle School in the fall.
Erica is currently preparing to take the LSAT with aspirations to apply to and attend Mississippi College of Law.
She is passionate about advocating for transgender youth (specifically) and LGBTQ+ rights and protections.
When Erica has free time, she loves to read (John Grisham), write, and binge-watch anything on the Discovery Channel, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), as well as bio-series on A&E Network.
