Brendan Hopkins, Isaac Rethy Memorial Fellow
Brendan Hopkins is the ACLU of Mississippi’s first Isaac Rethy Memorial Fellow, a role honoring Isaac Rethy’s dedication to advancing justice in Mississippi.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Brendan is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School. As a law student, he pursued internships in public defense and civil rights, including at the ACLU of Mississippi. After graduating, he clerked for two years on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
Brendan is grateful to return to the ACLU of Mississippi. In the coming years, he will support the legal team’s fight for dignity, equality, and justice. Outside of that work, he will continue to enjoy Mississippi’s excellent food, rich musical heritage, and vibrant communities.
