The ACLU of Mississippi's Back-to-School Resource Fair is a collaborative initiative between the Equitable Access to Social Services Project (EASSE) and the Mississippi Special Education Coalition (MSEC). This event is designed to address the interconnected social, economic, and educational challenges that many families face. The Resource Fair brings together community organizations from across the Jackson area to provide students and families with school supplies, resources, and information to help them prepare for a successful, upcoming school year.
This is a free, public event that will serve families who have experienced difficulty accessing benefits assistance (SNAP, TANF, Childcare Payment Vouchers and Medicaid) and those who need help navigating their child’s special education rights (IEPs and 504 plans). Over a dozen other community organizations will also provide resources.
Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 - 2:00 pm CST
