Persons living with HIV/AIDS have a right to be free from discrimination. The ACLU of Mississippi works to ensure that individuals living with HIV/AIDS know their rights and have access to the resources to advocate for themselves when their rights are threatened. The ACLU of Mississippi also works to enforce the civil rights and civil liberties of persons living with HIV/AIDS through litigation, public education and legislative advocacy.
