Lydia Grizzell is native of Jackson, Mississippi and a graduate of Millsaps College. She is a distinguished difference-maker and expert advocate, strategist, and operator with extensive experience in government operations, policy, and public administration.
Her career has been marked by significant roles in both local and federal government. She previously served as Deputy Clerk of Council for the City of Jackson after advancing to national policy making, working with the United States House Committee on Homeland Security and the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the Capitol. Demonstrating exceptional diligence and expertise, Lydia successfully adjudicated a Tier 5 Investigation for Top Secret Security Clearance, allowing her to serve as Associate Director for White House Operations management team.
Beyond her work in the executive branch, Lydia gained experience in government relations while working at Alpine Group, a top 20 firm in Washington, D.C. working closely with U.S. Congressional committees and subcommittees. In addition, she led a team of volunteers during the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, IL. She has since returned to Jackson, Mississippi, where she is pursuing her Executive MBA at Millsaps College and remains committed to giving back to her community. With a passion for leadership, governance, and public service, Lydia continues to make a meaningful impact at both the local and national levels.
